Will I feel out of place on the day?
You will feel right at home on the courses. We try as much as possible to make it easy for you to select the most suitable course via the website, but if you are still unsure please feel free to phone us. The photographers attending the day will be at a similar level as you and probably feeling the same level of anticipation. The aim is to make you feel comfortable and confident, so please ask as many questions as you wish on the day. With a typical group size of between 6-8 people attending each course you will have plenty of time to ask the tutors questions.
What facilities are there?
There is a small car park at fab photo and a large pay and display adjacent to the studio. Tea, coffee, cold drinks are provided. Please look at our location on Goggle Maps or similar as Sat Nav's don't always tell the truth!
What Equipment do I need?
For most of the photography courses a DSLR camera and lenses are essential and it doesn't matter what make of camera you use we have experience with most Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Panasonic G system and Olympus Pen digital cameras. On each course there may be a suggested equipment list, which will be useful to have. If you don't have a DSLR and lens we have two that we hire out to students on the day, please ask us for details. If you are attending the Photoshop course you should bring your laptop or pc as we don't have any available for hire.
What will I need for the day?
Depending on which course you have selected will depend on what you need to bring. For the photography courses it is likely that you will be both in the studio and on location, so sensible clothes and footwear are advisable. For all courses we advise you bring food and drinks, there are local facilities to purchase these if you prefer.
